Established in 2024. Books made for your reading pleasure.

Our goal is to make great books for your reading pleasure. With a penchant for fresh contemporary voices that explore diverse, uncharted themes and subject matters in literature, we invite you to turn the pages as our story unfolds.

Preface

Alaagba Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos – Our story is set against the backdrop of the humble beginnings of our founder, whose late father was the first book entrepreneur she ever knew. During her frequent visit to a local printing press where her dad produced books sold in primary schools in Lagos, a seed was sown.

At the core of what we do is the need to provide an enabling ground for often overlooked genres/pieces of literature, while providing a platform that truly supports and allows our authors to thrive.

Chapter One

Our story started officially in August 2024 when we decided to fill a widening demand for books that resonate, ignite, and linger beyond just the pages. Established in 2024, TBLNG Press is a fulfillment of an age-long dream of a starry eyed, book enthusiast whose frequent errand to a local printing press for her late dad got her intrigued and fascinated by the world of publishing.

We are vibrant and disruptive in our approach. We are home to some of the newest, brightest and most commercially viable authors in African literature.

Our story is unfolding. Join us in turning to the next chapters as we help you chronicle the pages of your most compelling stories.

What Stands Us Out?

A penchant for fresh contemporary voices in literature that explore diverse, uncharted themes and subject matters.

Perhaps our over a decade experience of serving across different value chains within the publishing ecosystem. First, as a bookseller and book publicist.

We understand what readers want. We understand the market trends and patterns. We have understudied the publishing industry in Africa and have identified the gaps and best practices that fit the African context.

We are proudly pro-women and led by a majority-female management team. We have a bias for female authors. Recent studies are showing an historical shift that indicates more women are getting published than men. We are strategically positioned to offer value to this audience and more.

Our Values

Diversity

Our publications reflect the multifaceted nature of African life, offering readers a broad and inclusive view of the continent.

Excellence

Our rigorous selection process ensures that every piece we publish resonates with authenticity and excellence.

Community

We are not just a business, but a family of writers, readers, and literary enthusiasts who share a passion for African literature.

Finally, a publishing house with a heart.

We are big on social impact. People are only as good as what they read. Hence, we partner with institutions and non-profit organizations that are focused on literacy and improving the reading culture. 5% of our profit goes into supporting initiatives that promote reading culture and access to knowledge, especially in the communities we serve.
