We welcome submissions from writers across the African continent and the African diaspora. We aim to highlight the breadth and depth of African literature.
We accept a wide range of genres including, but not limited to, fiction, non-fiction, poetry, memoirs, and essays. We are particularly interested in works that offer fresh and unique perspectives on African life and culture.
Please submit your manuscript in a standard format: double-spaced, 12-point font, and in a Word or PDF document. Ensure your name and contact information are included on the first page.
While there are no strict length requirements, we recommend keeping submissions under 80,000 words for novels and under 5,000 words for short stories, essays, and poems.
Alongside your manuscript, please include a cover letter introducing yourself, your work, and a brief summary of your manuscript. Highlight any previous publications or writing experience.
Email your submissions to submissions@tblng.press.
Please allow up to 12 weeks for us to review your manuscript. We will notify you via email regarding the status of your submission.
By submitting your work, you are joining a community of writers who are passionate about sharing the African narrative with the world. We look forward to reading your stories and potentially bringing them to a global audience.
